Sulphur Springs Physical Therapy consists of well-educated, well-trained, and highly experienced individuals. We are proud to offer the skills and knowledge of two full-time Masters-level Physical Therapists, a Registered Nurse, PT Techs as well as the availability of Licensed Massage Therapists and Personal Trainers certified by The Cooper Institute. Our Physical Therapists have additional education and training in aquatics, spine care, and conditions of the shoulder, joint replacements, hand therapy and custom conditioning programs for patients with cancer who are fighting to win. Our cancer conditioning programs offer patients the opportunity to have more energy and mobility, as well as pain management techniques.

Jason Maness, Physical Therapist & Clinical Director
Mr. Maness, a Physical Therapist, graduated in 1997 from Texas A & M University Commerce with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. He then earned a Master's degree, in Physical Therapy, from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2002. He currently has returned to the academic world and is working on his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His interests include: Orthopedic medicine, Aquatic based physical therapy, and working with Cancer patients/survivors. Being a Cancer Survivor himself, he has worked with other Cancer survivors and developed a rehabilitation program toward this particular group of patients. Mr. Maness has attended many continuing education classes allowing for the most current treatment techniques. Some of these classes include: Treatment of Cancer Related Fatigue and Weakness, Nonoperative Orthopedic Medicine and Manual Therapy of the Knee, Treatment of Cervical and Thoracic Pain Conditions, and Various Sports Symposiums to name a few. He is a valued member of the APTA and TPTA since 2002 and had an article published in one of their publications (Advance for Physical Therapist) during his third year of PT school. He is involved in the community participating in activities from Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society to speaking at local events. Mr. Maness currently resides in Paris, TX, but is looking forward to moving to Sulphur Springs.

Mr. Maness is currently the Clinical Director of Sulphur Springs Physical Therapy in Sulphur Springs Texas.

   

Dr. Michael Hagar, PT, MPT, DPT
Michael is originally from Dallas, TX. He went to Jesuit College Prep High School and then continued his schooling at Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and his Master's in Physical Therapy in 2005. In his pursuit of knowledge for the benefit of his patients he went back to school and finished his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009 from AT Stills University with Arizona State Health System. He has been to continuing education classes for Myofascial release and Orthopedic spine disorders. He has been a member of the ATPA and TPTA since 2002. He was a college athlete and still enjoys working with athletes. His wife, Tandy, is a pediatric physical therapist for Baylor. Their future goal is to have a Hippo-Therapy clinic (using horses to help disabled children and adults) while he continues his work at SSPT. He enjoys working on his small farm and riding horses with his wife.
